Learn about God through what God Does Not do...
During thousands of years of humanity there have been many opportunities for us to distort the truth about who God is, what He does, and what He is all about.  Statements like "God helps those who help themselves" have been accepted as scripture when in actuality it is not found in the Bible at all.   Why is this important?  Because your concept of God will shape the way you relate to Him.  You would not want to have anything to do with God if you think that he is a mean old man just waiting to catch you and punish you for every little mistake you make.  You have heard a lot about what God does but here you will find the truth about what God Does Not do!  There is real freedom for YOU in these pages!!

God Does Not make people sick to teach them things...
The Bible is clear that He is a healer and that a house divided against itself cannot stand. If God wants us healed he would be contradicting himself if he made us sick.  We wouldn't know whether to stand in faith for healing or not.  John 10:10 says the devil comes to kill steal and destroy, so guess where the sickness comes from!!

God Does Not want you to be poor!
Many people mis-quote the Bible and say money is the root of all evil... it doesn't say that but it does say "the LOVE of money is the root of all kinds of evil" and in another place that "money answers all things"... A vow of poverty is not required to serve God and is not found anywhere in the Bible... The key is do you have money or does the money have you?

God Does Not send hurricanes and Tsunamis as judgement for sins...
The Bible says He has reserved judgement for the final judgement day... And when you think about it most of the storms hit the "Bible belt."  John 10:10 is clear. These things destroy, so where are they from?

God Does Not hate homosexuals!
He loves all people equally and provides the same opportunities for eternal life and happiness for all!  It's wrong behavior (sin) He hates!  There are many scriptures that say homosexual behavior is a sin.

So, what is this John 10:10?  It is a verse in the Bible that documents the words of Jesus that says, "The thief [Devil] comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they [you] may have life, and have it abundantly."  Take a sheet of paper and draw a line down the center.  At the top of the left column write "Kill, Steal, Destroy."  At the top of the right column put, "Life abundantly."  Now, list the things going on in your life, and the things that you want to happen, in the column that fits them best.  Now, discard the things and fight against what is listed in the kill, steal, destroy column as not being from God. And, pray and believe for  all the things in the Life Abundantly column and the Bible says you can have them!

God Does NOT:

  • Make you sick to teach you things!
  • Want you to be poor!
  • Judge countries using disasters!
  • Kill people!
  • Stop speaking to you!
  • Take good things from you!
  • Want you to be religious!
  • Give up on you!
  • Destroy relationships!
  • Think you are hopeless or worthless!
  • Remember your mistakes... IF...
  • Want you to be separated from Him!
  • Stop loving you... EVER!
